Air-Fried Basa with Creamy Coleslaw and Spicy Tartar Sauce (Keto)

Ingredients

  • Four 5 oz basa fillets, cut in half
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup unseasoned whey protein
  • 2 cups coleslaw
  • 1 avocado cut into quarters
  • 4 tablespoons spicy prepared tartar sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Prep
  • Marinate the basa fillets in the buttermilk overnight in the refrigerator.
  • Drain and pat the fillets dry,
  • Then then them season with salt and pepper and dust each piece with the whey protein.

Cook
  • Heat air fryer to 380 degrees.
  • Place basa fillets on the basket of the air fryer and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Remove the fillets from the air fryer.

Serve
  • Place 1/2 cup coleslaw on each plate and top with one quarter of the avocado.
  • Arrange 2 pieces of basa next to the coleslaw and top with 1 tablespoon of tartar sauce.
  • Repeat with the remaining basa pieces.
